What we keep, and why.
LetsCook is a small recipe app. It keeps only what it needs to save your recipes. Last updated October 13, 2026.
What we store
- Your account: the email address, name and profile photo you sign in with. Sign-in is handled by Clerk; we never see your password.
- Your recipes: anything you import, paste or write, and the recipes you save and shelve.
- Imported links: the address of any recipe page you import, kept so the same page is not fetched twice.
What we do not do
- No ads, no selling or sharing your data, no tracking across other sites.
- The Chrome extension reads only the recipe on the page you ask it to import.
Who processes it
- Clerk (sign-in), Vercel (hosting) and Neon (database) store or handle your data to run the service.
- When a page has no structured recipe data, its text is sent to Anthropic’s Claude to read the recipe out of it.
- Web search results come from Google; the search words are sent to Google, nothing about you.
- Your IP address is used briefly, in memory, to rate-limit anonymous imports. It is not stored.
Public recipes
- Recipes you import or write are public: anyone can find them in LetsCook, alongside your username. What you save and how you shelve it is visible only to you.
Deleting your data
- Email adahley@gmail.com and we will delete your account and the recipes that belong to it.
