Questions
Is the extension free?
Yes. The LetsCook Chrome extension is completely free to use for all LetsCook users.
Do I need a LetsCook account?
No. Detection and import both work without one - an anonymous import joins the public LetsCook catalog. An account only changes where the recipe lands: sign in on the website and the extension picks up that session automatically, so imports go to your own recipes. There is no token to copy by hand.
What if my favorite site is not supported?
The extension works with any site that uses structured recipe data (schema.org). If a site is not working, let us know and we will add support.
Is my data secure?
The extension only accesses recipe data and communicates securely with your LetsCook account. We never access personal data from other sites.
What works in the current beta?
Recipe detection on all major recipe sites, non-recipe page detection, title and source display, automatic sign-in from the website, and import to your account. The Chrome Web Store listing comes after beta testing.
When will it be on the Chrome Web Store?
We are currently in beta testing. Automatic authentication is already in place, so what is left is beta feedback and the store listing assets, then we submit for one-click installation.
Ready to start importing recipes?
Download the extension and never manually copy a recipe again.
