This easy broccoli casserole is a classic side dish made with broccoli, creamy sauce, and crunchy topping.
Ingredients
- 600gbroccoli, cut into florets
- 1/4 cupbutter
- 1/4 cupall-purpose flour
- 1 cupmilk
- 1 cupchicken broth
- 1/2 cupsour cream
- 1 cupshredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cuppanko breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoonsgrated parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add broccoli and cook for 3-4 minutes until just tender. Drain and set aside.

Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk and broth. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes until thickened.

Remove from heat and stir in sour cream and 1/2 cup cheddar cheese until combined. Season with salt and pepper.

Add the cooked broccoli to the cheese sauce and stir to coat. Transfer to the prepared baking dish.

In a small bowl, mix together the remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, panko, and parmesan. Sprinkle evenly over the top of the casserole.
